Benefits of Ajwain (Carom Seeds)

Ajwain contains healing and curative properties and it has been used for ages in Ayurvedic and Siddha medicine to treat numerous problems. Ajwain is rich in carbohydrates, fat, protein, fiber, and minerals like calcium, phosphorous, iron, copper, iodine, manganese, etc.., All these contents make this little seed a healthy wonder. The following are the benefits of drinking Ajwain water every day:

The presence of essential oil called thymol in Ajwain has antifungal and antibacterial property help to manage gastrointestinal (that is digestive) problems like indigestion, flatulence, and diarrhea. Ajwain contains active enzymes, which improve the flow of the stomach acids and result in relief from bloating and gas.

è --> Ajwain is safe for many people, but it should be avoided by women who are pregnant and breastfeeding.

è --> People who are with a liver problem should avoid Ajwain because it can worsen the condition

è --> Ajwain has the power to extend the risk of bleeding during and after the surgery. So it is advisable to stop taking Ajwain a minimum 2 weeks before the scheduled surgery and should be continued after the surgery


  How to prepare Ajwain water

   The best way to have Ajwain seed is by consuming it in the form of water(Ajwain water)

    Ingredients

     Ajwain Seeds – 1Tsp

     Water – 1 glass

     Preparation Method

è --> In a saucepan, add a glass of water and allow it to boil

è --> In the boiling stage, add a teaspoon of Ajwain and allow it to boil for 3 to 5 minutes

è --> After 5 minutes, strain the water and let it stand overnight

è --> The next day morning, just warm the water and consume it on an empty stomach

Note: It is recommended to consume Ajwain water only once or a maximum of twice a day
