You cannot fight the cold climate with just sweaters, blankets, etc.., Food plays a main role to keep your body warm and healthy especially during the winter months.

Yes..! Winter season is geared up now and that we all are enjoying the cool breeze after long months of hot summer and What are you planning to do, to stay yourself warm? When the temperature falls, it is obvious that your body metabolism tends to slow down to preserve energy and also to stay your body warm. This is often why the majority feel lethargic and lazy during the winter.


Well, I understand keeping yourself warm in the winter season is kind of a tricky task, but the reality is to keep yourself warm during this season is simple, just incorporating heat-producing foods into your regular food habit. Generally, food that contains fat, protein, carbohydrates take an extended time to digest and then
produces heat in the body, which helps you to keep your body warm in winter.

1. Root Veggies

Honey is popular to cure cough and lots of other winter-related health issues. Cough is a common problem in the winter season, you can consume honey by adding it to your tea, or any herbal drink. By consuming daily you can feel the relief from cough.

5. Turmeric

Turmeric popularly known as a golden spice is loaded with medicinal properties and also has anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial properties. The Winter season brings many challenges like joint paint, common cold, cough, flu, and other discomforts.

For all winter-related health issues, the main solution is by adding turmeric in the form of turmeric milk or turmeric tea to your food diet. It boosts immunity, relieves you from cough, cold, detoxifies your body, and finally cures joint and muscle pain.

Winter is the season most people are susceptible to falling sick, and most infectious microbes can form easily in cold conditions. To fight against harmful microbes and to strengthen the body, it is important to consume eggs during winter.

Eggs have a decent amount of fats, and nothing to worry much about because these fats would not cause you to be fat. By consuming regularly, supports cell growth, prevents infections, protects your organ. It also helps in overcoming winter illnesses like cold, flu, and most importantly it keeps your body warm.

7. Black Pepper

The most commonly used spice worldwide is " Black pepper". It is rich in anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which helps to prevent infections and also provide relief from any kind of winter discomfort. It is also loaded with vitamin C, which naturally boosts immunity.

During winter, digestion is relatively slow compared to other seasons. In these times, black pepper does wonder indigestion, and therefore the digestive system function better.
