Dandruff Treatment: Natural Ways To Get Rid Of Dandruff

For every skin, it is quite common to shed dead skin cells as new ones form actually this is usual and not much noticeable. But in the case of dandruff, how this process is accelerated and visible deposits of the dead cells start to form.

The most common cause of dandruff is the high secretion of oil on the scalp, dry skin or scalp, allergy to hair products, and the growth of a yeast-like fungus called Malassezia which is found in the oil on the scalps. It is also caused by poor hygiene, unhealthy diet, irregular wrong method of brushing, and frequent hair washing.

How to Treat Dandruff by using Home Remedies?

There are many home remedies are available to treat dandruff and the ingredients to treat dandruff are in your kitchen. Here is my experience am suggesting a list of home remedies to treat Dandruff.

1. Coconut Oil with Lemon

Most people use coconut oil to keep their hair nourished and when you mixed this with little lemon juice, it can cure dandruff gradually. It is quite a simple and easy home remedy to get rid of those tiny flakes on your scalp.

Ingredients

Coconut oil - 2Tbsp

Lemon Juice - 2Tbsp

How to Use?

--> Warm up the coconut oil, once it is warmed add lemon juice to it

--> Apply this mixture on your scalp and gently massage it

--> Leave it for about 30 minutes and then wash the hair by using mild-shampoo

2. Fenugreek Seed Mask

Fenugreek seed or methi seed is one of the common and best ingredients to get rid of dandruff completely. Protein content in fenugreek helps to prevent dryness, hair fall and cures dandruff. It also strengthens the hair roots and moisturizes the scalp. Fenugreek seeds are the secret key for long, thick, and strong hair.

Ingredient

Fenugreek seeds

How to Use?

--> Add some fenugreek seeds in a small bowl, add enough water, and allow it to soak overnight

--> Add the soaked fenugreek seeds into the mixer grinder and make a paste

--> Apply this paste on your scalp and leave it to dry for about 30 minutes

--> Once it dried, wash your hair with a mild shampoo

3. Neem Water or Neem Paste

Neem leaves are naturally filled with medicinal values and the anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-microbial, and anti-inflammatory property is perfect to treat dandruff.

How to Use(Neem Paste)?

--> Grind some neem leaves by adding little water and finally, it looks like a paste

--> Apply this paste on your scalp and allow it to dry for about 30 minutes

--> Once it dried, rinse your hair using mild-shampoo

How to Use(Neem Water)?

--> Take some bunch of neem leaves.  Wash it properly

--> In a bucket, add some washed neem leaves add enough water, and allow it to soak overnight

--> Next day, after your regular hair wash - finally by using the soaked neem water you can rinse your hair

4. Apple Cider Vinegar(ACV)

ACV acts as a natural hair cleanser and helps to unclog the pores and hair follicles. It helps to maintain the pH balance of the scalp. The acidic nature of ACV helps to remove the dead skin cells on the scalp and it also helps to prevent fungus growth.

Ingredients

ACV - 1 cup

Water - 3 cup

How to Use?

--> Mix 1 cup of ACV with 3 cups of normal water

--> After your regular hair wash, use this mixture and rinse your hair

--> Allow it to sit for about 2 to 3 minutes before the final wash of your hair

Note: You can use this method once every two days is the best way to fight dandruff

5. Curd Mask

The lactic acid in the curd helps to reduce dandruff considerably. This mask not only cures dandruff but also strengthens the hair from its root.

Ingredient

Curd - 1 cup

A small towel

How to Use?

--> Wash your hair with lukewarm water and use a towel to dry the hair

--> Apply a layer of fresh curd on your scalp and hair

--> Allow it to dry for about 15 minutes and wash your hair by using normal water
