Usually, mental health influences many parts of your regular routine including – how you are feeling to how you think that or react, and your ability to manage stress. It also improves your relationship, your ability to work productively, and the way soon you get back from failures, disappointments, etc..,

Why Mental Health is Important?

Many of you know how fitness is important to keep your body to stay fit and healthy. Likewise, mental health is important in every stage of life from childhood and adolescence through adulthood and aging. Being mentally healthy does not mean you will never experience failures or emotional problems. Everyone experience these situations at one point but it does matter, how you manage and bounce back.

How to Improve the Mental Health?

Taking care of mental health does not mean that, seeking experts’ advice, support, and treatment. It means take your own step to improve your mental health. Below are a number of the suggestions which I learned from my experience – you can try to change your life. I am sure; it will pay you best in all the stages in your life.

1. Care for your Body

A myth or fact is there, that is “to have good mental health, simply you can do by taking care of yourself physically”. Always make sure that:

è --> You are consuming a healthy and well-balanced food

è --> Consume plenty of water and follow your skincare routine regularly

è --> Always be presentable

è --> Do regular exercise- it helps to decrease your depression and improves your mood swings

è --> Get enough sleep- lack of sleep leads to a high rate of depression

 2. Manage Stress

Accept it or not – stress is becoming a neighborhood of our life. Nowadays adults, teens, and even kids are experiencing stress. In this busy work schedule, we forget to pay attention to our families and other commitments that result in more stress. The only solution is, try to manage your work schedules and spent some quality time together with your family and other commitments. Here are some tips or suggestions to handle the stress:

è --> Whenever you feel stressed – stop all you are doing and take a deep breath. Imagine yourself in a relaxed place and hear your breathing. Once you have got released your breath am sure you are feeling very relaxed.

è --> Take a short break from your busy schedule of work- because it is quite tough and hectic. Sometimes it is important to take a break and chill out yourself or with family and friends.

 3. Make Time for your Hobbies or passion

Many peoples are there; they leave their passion and work for something due to many concerns and situations. Those people should try to take some time for their passion or hobbies. It automatically boosts your interest to do more in your passion or hobbies. Every day or a minimum of twice every week spends some time doing what you like more. It makes you feel good and better. Passion or hobbies can be anything like:

è --> Reading books

è --> Doing art and craft works

è --> Spending time with your pets

è --> Listening to music, watching movies, etc…,

è --> Playing your favorite sports, Gardening, and many others.

 4. Talk about your Problem and Obtain Help

In your life, work, or it can be anything if something is disturbing you too much talk about that with your partner, friends, or health experts it will help you to lower the stress. Many people think that posing for help is a “sign of weakness”. No. the thought is completely wrong- posing for help does not mean that you do not have the ability to resolve the problem. It is like you are taking help and advice from your known person.

5. Stay Positive

Staying positive does not mean that you should not react or feel for failures, disappointments, and negative emotions like anger or sadness – you have got to experience those emotions in your life too. You know what, those situations and emotions make you manage and move on easily in your life. It also helps you to react and respond to that situation. But remember one thing, those emotions and feelings should not overtake you.

Always hold on to positive emotions and take a break from negative emotions and situations. Use social media wisely, support, and be connected with others but should be careful. Do not compare your life with others negatively.

6. Talk – What you feel

Talking about your feeling together with your partner, friends, and others who is very close to you – helps you to stay in good mental health. It gives you a fresh mind to handle whatever you have got been carrying in your head for long days. If you open up your feeling together with your close ones, it would encourage them to do the same.

7. Keep Yourself Active

Being active helps you to keep your mind and body healthy. To stay active and fit does not mean that you should do exercise regularly. Of course, you can do exercise; any sports you like, or gym workouts beside these you can also do gardening, household chores, and walking.

8. Stay Connected

A fact “Strong family bonding and supportive friends” help you to manage the stress in life. Friends and family make you feel better, help you in hard situations, and most importantly they care for you. They provide you different suggestions for the problem and also they help you to resolve those problems.

It is always better to catch up together with your loved ones face-to-face, but practically that is not possible every time. In such a case, try to communicate with them either through call, or drop a message. In some relationships, if you feel like they are damaging your mental health – better stand back or take a break from them.

Consider another rare scenario, when someone is close to you dies otherwise you lost them in the other way- it is hard to handle that situation. In such a case, it is better to get counseling from experts.

Each and every people are different like different in behavior, character, lifestyle, etc…, Feeling good about yourself helps you to improve your self-confidence. Also, good self-control and acceptance nature help you to handle any difficult situation.

Always be pleased with who are you. Recognize your skills, talent, and at the same time accept what you are not good at. Give priority and focus on what you can do well. If you like to change or add anything within you, work towards that.
